حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ وَزَاذَانَ قَالَا

شَرِبَ عَلِيٌّ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنْ أَشْرَبْ قَائِمًا، فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَشْرَبُ قَائِمًا، وَإِنْ أَشْرَبْ جَالِسًا، فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَشْرَبُ جَالِسًا

Translation

✧ Ali drank while standing and then said: If I drink standing, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drink standing; and if I drink sitting, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drink sitting.
