حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

قَدْ أُعْطِيَ كُلُّ نَبِيٍّ عَطِيَّةً، فَكُلٌّ قَدْ تَعَجَّلَهَا، وَإِنِّي أَخَّرْتُ عَطِيَّتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لَيَشْفَعُ لِلْفِئَامِ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَيَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَشْفَعُ لِلْقَبِيلَةِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَشْفَعُ لِلْعُصْبَةِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَشْفَعُ لِلثَّلَاثَةِ وَلِلرَّجُلَيْنِ وَلِلرَّجُلِ

Translation

✧ Every prophet has been given a gift, and each has hastened to take it. But I have postponed my gift as intercession for my nation. A man from my nation will intercede for a large group of people, and they will enter Paradise. A man will intercede for a tribe. A man will intercede for a clan. A man will intercede for three, for two, and for one.
