✧ Abu Musa sought permission to enter upon 'Umar three times, but 'Umar did not permit him, so he returned. 'Umar met him and said: What made you return? He said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: Whoever seeks permission three times and is not granted it, let him return. He said: You must bring clear proof for this, or I will surely do such-and-such. So he went to the gathering of his people and adjured them by God (Mighty and Majestic). I said: I am with you. So they testified for him to that, and he let him go.
