✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people and said: 'Allah, Mighty and Majestic, gave a servant the choice between this world and what is with Him.' He said: 'That servant chose what is with Allah.' He said: 'Abu Bakr wept, and we were amazed at his weeping that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told of a servant who was given a choice, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ [was] the one given the choice, and Abu Bakr was the most knowledgeable of us about it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The person who has done the most for me with his companionship and his wealth is Abu Bakr. If I were to take a close friend from among the people other than my Lord, I would have taken Abu Bakr, but there is the brotherhood of Islam or its affection. No door in the mosque shall remain except it be closed, except the door of Abu Bakr."
