حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ
بَاتَ قَتَادَةُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ يَقْرَأُ اللَّيْلَ كُلَّهُ بِـ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ. فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ [إِنَّهَا] لَتَعْدِلُ نِصْفَ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ ثُلُثَهُ

✧ Qatadah b. al-Nu'man spent the night reciting Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad all night. That was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said: 'By the One in Whose hand is my soul, it is equal to half of the Quran or a third of it.'
