حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ
شَهِدْتُ مَعَ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ الْفِطْرَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، فَسَأَلَهُ: كَيْفَ كَانَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْطُبَ

✧ I witnessed with Mus'ab ibn al-Zubayr al-Fitar in Madinah on the day of Eid al-Fitr. He sent for Abu Sa'id and asked him how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to conduct himself. Abu Sa'id informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray before delivering the sermon, and he prayed on that day before the sermon.
