حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ
لَا تُوَاصِلُوا، فَأَيُّكُمْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوَاصِلَ فَلْيُوَاصِلْ حَتَّى السَّحَرِ. فَقَالُوا: إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَهَيْئَتِكُمْ، إِنِّي أَبِيتُ لِي مُطْعِمٌ يُطْعِمُنِي، وَسَاقٍ يَسْقِينِي

✧ Do not practice wisal. Whoever of you wants to practice wisal, let him continue until the pre-dawn meal. They said: "But you practice wisal?" He said: "I am not like you. I spend the night with One who feeds me and gives me drink."
