✧ Two women from Hudhayl fought, and one threw a stone at the other, killing her and the child in her womb. They brought the dispute to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that the blood money for her fetus was a ghurra, a male or female slave, and he ruled that the blood money for the woman was to be paid by her 'aqila. Hamal b. Nabigha al-Hudhali said: 'How can I be fined for one who neither drank nor ate, nor spoke nor cried? Such a thing should be nullified.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'He is one of the brothers of the soothsayers, because of his rhymed speech.'
