✧ The Angel of Death used to come to people visibly. He said: He came to Moses, and Moses struck him and gouged out his eye. He went to his Lord, Mighty and Majestic, and said: O Lord, Your servant Moses gouged out my eye, and were it not for his honor with You, I would have dealt harshly with him. And Yunus said: I would have made it hard for him. He said to him: Go to My servant and tell him to place his hand on the skin or hide of an ox, and for every hair his hand covers he will have a year. He came to him and said to him: He said: What comes after this? He said: Death. He said: Then now. He said: He inhaled his breath once and took his soul.
