حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَأَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ الْمَعْنَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

قَالَ لُوطٌ: لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ قَالَ: قَدْ كَانَ يَأْوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ، وَلَكِنَّهُ عَنَى عَشِيرَتَهُ، فَمَا بَعَثَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بَعْدَهُ نَبِيًّا إِلَّا بَعَثَهُ فِي ذُرْوَةِ قَوْمِهِ

✧ Lot said, 'If only I had strength against you or could take refuge in a strong support.' He said: He did take refuge in a strong support, but he meant his clan. After him, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, did not send any prophet except that He sent him among the nobility of his people.
