✧ Four things from the affairs of the pre-Islamic era that people will never abandon: wailing over the dead, defaming lineages, attributing rain to stars—a man says, 'We were given rain by such-and-such a star'—and contagion: a camel has mange and so infects a hundred; who infected the first one?
