✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ gave the example of a miser and a giver of charity as two men wearing iron coats of mail, with their hands forced to their chests and collar bones. Whenever the giver of charity gives, it expands over him until it covers his fingertips and obliterates his traces. And whenever the miser intends to give charity, every ring tightens and clings to its place. Abu Hurayrah said: I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ gesturing with his finger in his cloak; if you could have seen him trying to widen it, but it would not widen.
