✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ stopped between Dajnan and 'Usfan. The polytheists said, "These people have a prayer that is dearer to them than their fathers and their sons; it is the 'Asr prayer. So agree upon your plan and attack them with a single assault." Then Gabriel ﷺ came to the Prophet ﷺ and commanded him to divide his companions into two groups: to pray with one group while the other stood behind them, on guard with their weapons. Then the other group would come and pray with him, while the first would take their guard and weapons. Thus each group would have one rak'ah with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and the Messenger of God ﷺ would have two.
