حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيَرْفَعُ الدَّرَجَةَ لِلْعَبْدِ الصَّالِحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَيَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ أَنَّى لِي هَذِهِ ؟ فَيَقُولُ: بِاسْتِغْفَارِ وَلَدِكَ لَكَ.

Translation

✧ Allah, Mighty and Sublime, raises the degree of a righteous servant in Paradise. He says: "My Lord, how is this for me?" He says: "By your child's seeking forgiveness for you."
