حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى أَحْسَنِ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ إِضَاءَةً فِي السَّمَاءِ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ، قَالَ: قَدْ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The first group from my ummah (followers) to enter Paradise will be like the moon on a full moon night, then those who come after them will be like the brightest star in the sky. Ukkashah ibn Mihsan stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me among them.' He said, 'O Allah, make him among them.' Then another man stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me among them.' He said, 'Ukkashah has beaten you to it.'"
