حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

وَكَانَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا وَالنَّاسُ يَتَوَضَّؤُونَ مِنَ الْمِطْهَرَةِ أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ فَإِنَّ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ قَالَ: وَيْلٌ لِلْعَقِبِ مِنَ النَّارِ.

Translation

✧ He used to pass by us while the people were performing ablution from the water container. ‘Perform the ablution thoroughly, for Abu al-Qasim ﷺ said: Woe to the heels from the Fire.’
