حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ أَنَّ نُعَيْمًا الْمُجْمِرَ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّهُ صَلَّى وَرَاءَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَرَأَ أُمَّ الْقُرْآنِ، فَلَمَّا قَالَ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَ قَالَ: آمِينَ ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ لِوَضْعِ الرَّأْسِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: حِينَ فَرَغَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأَشْبَهُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ.

Translation

✧ He prayed behind Abu Hurayrah, and he recited the Mother of the Qur'an. When he said, 'not of those who earned anger nor of the astray,' he said, 'Amin.' Then he said the takbir for placing the head. Then when he finished he said: 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, I am the one among you whose prayer most closely resembles that of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'
