حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

لَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ حَبْلًا فَيَأْتِيَ الْجَبَلَ فَيَحْتَطِبَ مِنْهُ فَيَبِيعَهُ فَيَأْكُلَ وَيَتَصَدَّقَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا.

Translation

✧ For one of you to take a rope, go to the mountain, gather firewood, sell it, and then eat and give charity is better for him than asking people for anything.
