حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

مَنْ جَلَسَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ كَثُرَ فِيهِ لَغَطُهُ، فَقَالَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُومَ: سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ ثُمَّ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ، إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ ذَلِكَ.

✧ Whoever sits in a gathering in which there is much idle talk, and says before he stands: 'Glory be to You, O Allah, our Lord, and with Your praise. There is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I turn to You,' then whatever was in that gathering of his will be forgiven for him.
