حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْخَزْرَجُ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ مَعَهُ الْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَرَأَى غُلَامًا فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا غُلَامُ اذْهَبِ الْعَبْ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ قَالَ: يَا غُلَامُ اذْهَبِ الْعَبْ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ قَالَ: فَتَقْعُدُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ الْإِمَامُ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَتَقْعُدُ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَيَكْتُبُونَ السَّابِقَ وَالثَّانِيَ وَالثَّالِثَ وَالنَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ، حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ الْإِمَامُ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ الْإِمَامُ طُوِيَتِ الصُّحُفُ.

✧ I entered the mosque with him on Friday, and he saw a boy and said to him: O boy, go play. He said: I only came to the mosque. He said: O boy, go play. He said: I only came to the mosque. He said: Do you sit until the imam comes out? He said: Yes. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: The angels come on Friday and sit at the doors of the mosque, writing down the first, the second, and the third, and the people according to their ranks, until the imam comes out. When the imam comes out, the records are rolled up.
