حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ذَكْوَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

جَاءَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً وَأَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا، وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ، وَالْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ، وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ، وَالْخُيَلَاءُ وَالْكِبْرُ فِي أَصْحَابِ الْإِبِلِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ وَالْوَقَارُ فِي أَصْحَابِ الشَّاءِ.

✧ The people of Yemen came: they are the most tender-hearted and softest of hearts. Understanding is Yemeni, faith is Yemeni, wisdom is Yemeni. Pride and arrogance are among the camel owners, while tranquility and dignity are among the sheep owners.
