حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ يَعْنِي اللَّيْثِيَّ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ سَمِعَهُ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يُرِيدُ سَفَرًا فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَوْصِنِي فَقَالَ: أُوصِيكَ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَفٍ، فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ ازْوِ لَهُ الْأَرْضَ، وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْهِ السَّفَرَ.

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ intending to travel and said: O Messenger of Allah, advise me. He said: I advise you to fear Allah and to say Allāhu akbar upon every elevation. When he left, he said: O Allah, roll up the earth for him and make the journey easy for him.
