حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ

كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ قَنَتَ، وَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ نَجِّ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ، اللَّهُمَّ نَجِّ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ، اللَّهُمَّ نَجِّ عَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، اللَّهُمَّ نَجِّ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ وَطْأَتَكَ عَلَى مُضَرَ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا سِنِينَ كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ.

Translation

✧ When he raised his head from the last rak’ah of the last night prayer, he would perform qunut and say: “O Allah, save al-Walid b. al-Walid; O Allah, save Salamah b. Hisham; O Allah, save ‘Ayyash b. Abi Rabi’ah; O Allah, save the weak among the believers; O Allah, tighten Your grip on Mudar; O Allah, make it years like the years of Yusuf.”
