Supplication when the breeze blows

حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى هُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ

عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا هَاجَتْ رِيحٌ شَدِيدَةٌ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Anas (ra) said that when a strong wind blew the Prophet (ﷺ) made this supplication:

✧ From Anas: When a strong wind blew, the Prophet ﷺ would say: “O Allah, I ask You for the good of what it has been sent with, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what it has been sent with.”
