حَدَّثَنَا بَيَانٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ حَزْنٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ شَيْخًا يُنَادِي بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ لاَ يَخْلِطُهُ شَيْءٌ قُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا الشَّيْخُ؟ قِيلَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ
Translation
✧ I heard an old man calling out at the top of his voice, 'O Allah, I seek refuge with You from evil that is unmixed with anything.' I said, 'Who is this old man?' It was said, 'Abu al-Dardaʾ.'
