حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ مَوْلَى أَنَسٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَشَدَّ حَيَاءً مِنَ الْعَذْرَاءِ فِي خِدْرِهَا وَكَانَ إِذَا كَرِهَ شَيْئًا عَرَفْنَاهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ
Translation

machine translationʿAlī b. al-Jaʿd narrated to us, he said: Shuʿbah informed us, from Qatādah, from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUbaydillāh, the freed slave of Anas, he said:
✧ I heard Abū Saʿīd say: The Prophet ﷺ was more modest than a virgin in her private chamber, and when he disliked something, we recognized it in his face.
