حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الأَغَرِّ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْعِزُّ إِزَارِي وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ رِدَائِي فَمَنْ نَازَعَنِي بِشَيْءٍ مِنْهُمَا عَذَّبْتُهُ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿUmar narrated to us, he said: my father narrated to us, he said: al-Aʿmash narrated to us, he said: Abū Isḥāq narrated to us, from Abū Muslim al-Agharr, that he narrated to him, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī and Abū Hurayrah
✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: “Might is My lower garment and pride is My cloak. Whoever contends with Me over either of them, I will punish him.”
