حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالشُّحَّ فَإِنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ سَفَكُوا دِمَاءَهُمْ وَقَطَعُوا أَرْحَامَهُمْ وَالظُّلْمُ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Beware of avarice, for it destroyed those before you: they shed their blood and severed their ties of kinship. Wrong action is darknesses on the Day of Rising.”
