حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَرَى النَّكَالَ عَلَى مَنْ أَشَاعَ الزِّنَا يَقُولُ أَشَاعَ الْفَاحِشَةَ

Translation

✧ He used to consider exemplary punishment upon one who spread rumors of fornication, saying, 'He spread indecency.'
