حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ الأَسْلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاذَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلَيْهِ أَثَرُ غُسْلٍ وَهُوَ طَيِّبُ النَّفْسِ فَظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ أَلَمَّ بِأَهْلِهِ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نَرَاكَ طَيِّبَ النَّفْسِ؟ قَالَ أَجَلْ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ثُمَّ ذُكِرَ الْغِنَى فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّهُ لاَ بَأْسَ بِالْغِنَى لِمَنِ اتَّقَى وَالصِّحَّةُ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْغِنَى وَطِيبُ النَّفْسِ مِنَ النِّعَمِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to them with traces of a bath, and he was in good spirits. We thought he had been with his wife, so we said, "O Messenger of Allah, we see you in good spirits." He said, "Yes, and praise be to Allah." Then wealth was mentioned, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no harm in wealth for one who is God-fearing, and health for one who is God-fearing is better than wealth, and good spirits are among the blessings."
