Translation

✧ I heard—meaning Abū ʿĀmir al-Ḥimṣī—say: Thawbān used to say: "No two men break off relations for more than three days, and then one of them dies while they are still on that state of estrangement, except that they are both destroyed. And no neighbour wrongs his neighbour and oppresses him until that forces him to leave his home, except that he is destroyed."
