حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْقَاعُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالسَّمَرَ بَعْدَ هُدُوءِ اللَّيْلِ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي مَا يَبُثُّ اللَّهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ غَلِّقُوا الأَبْوَابَ وَأَوْكُوا السِّقَاءَ وَأَكْفِئُوا الإِنَاءَ وَأَطْفِئُوا الْمَصَابِيحَ
Translation

machine translationMusaddad narrated to us, he said: Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd narrated to us, from Ibn ʿAjlān, he said: al-Qaʿqāʿ b. Ḥakīm narrated to us, from Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh, he said:
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of staying up talking after nightfall, for none of you knows what creatures Allah sends out. Close the doors, tie the water-skins, turn over the vessels, and extinguish the lamps."
