حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَخْلَدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ
عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ قَالَ كَانَ خَارِجَةُ يَكْتُبُ عَلَى كِتَابِ زَيْدٍ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ وَمَغْفِرَتُهُ وَطَيِّبُ صَلَوَاتِهِ
Translation
✧ From Abu al-Zinad, he said: Kharija used to write at the end of Zayd's letter when he greeted: Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Believers, and the mercy of God and His blessings and His forgiveness and the best of His prayers.
