حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُصَيْنٌ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ:

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ لَمْ آثَمْ، قَالَ: قِيلَ: وَكَيْفَ ذَاكَ ؟ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِحِرَاءٍ، فَقَالَ: اسْكُنْ حِرَاءُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ، أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ، أَوْ شَهِيدٌ قَالَ: فَقِيلَ: مَنْ هُمْ ؟ قَالَ: رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ، وَعَلِيٌّ، وَعُثْمَانُ، وَطَلْحَةُ، وَالزُّبَيْرُ، وَسَعْدٌ، وَابْنُ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ: قِيلَ: فَمَنِ الْعَاشِرُ ؟ قَالَ: أَنَا. يَعْنِي نَفْسَهُ

✧ I bear witness for the nine that they are in Paradise, and if I were to bear witness for the tenth, I would not be sinning. He said: It was said: How is that? He said: We were with the Messenger of God ﷺ on Hira, and he said: Be still, Hira, for there is upon you only a prophet, or a truthful one, or a martyr. He said: It was said: Who are they? He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ, and Abu Bakr, and Umar, and Ali, and Uthman, and Talha, and al-Zubayr, and Sa'd, and Ibn Awf. He said: It was said: Who is the tenth? He said: I am. Meaning himself.
