حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ ثَوْبَانَ، أَنَّ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ أَخْبَرَهُ:

" أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ يَقْسِمُ لَحْمًا، وَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ غُلَامٌ أَحْمِلُ عُضْوَ الْبَعِيرِ قَالَ: فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ بَدَوِيَّةٌ، فَلَمَّا دَنَتْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بَسَطَ لَهَا رِدَاءَهُ فَجَلَسَتْ عَلَيْهِ، فَسَأَلْتُ: مَنْ هَذِهِ ؟ قَالُوا: أُمُّهُ الَّتِي أَرْضَعَتْهُ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was at al-Ji'ranah distributing meat, and I was then a boy carrying the limb of a camel. A Bedouin woman approached, and when she drew near to the Prophet ﷺ, he spread his cloak for her, and she sat on it. I asked, "Who is this?" They said, "His mother who nursed him."
