✧ 'Umar sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of God ﷺ while he had women of Quraysh with him, speaking to him and asking him for more, their voices raised. When he sought permission, they rushed to the screen. The Messenger of God ﷺ gave him permission, and the Messenger of God ﷺ was laughing. 'Umar said, 'May God make you laugh, O Messenger of God.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'I was amazed at these women who were with me; when they heard your voice, they rushed to the screen.' 'Umar said, 'You, O Messenger of God, were more deserving that they should be in awe.' Then 'Umar said, 'O enemies of your own selves, do you fear me and not fear the Messenger of God ﷺ?' They said, 'Yes, you are harsher and rougher than the Messenger of God ﷺ.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, Satan never meets you walking on a path except that he takes a path other than yours.'
