حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى النَّخَعِيِّ
أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ، وَالْحُسَيْنَ مَرَّ بِهِمَا مَرْوَانُ، فَقَالَ لَهُمَا قَوْلًا قَبِيحًا، فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ، أَوِ الْحُسَيْنُ: وَاللهِ، ثُمَّ وَاللهِ، لَقَدْ لَعَنَكَ اللهُ وَأَنْتَ فِي صُلْبِ الْحَكَمِ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: فَسَكَتَ مَرْوَانُ
Translation

✧ Al-Hasan and al-Husayn passed by Marwan, and he said something vile to them. Al-Hasan—or al-Husayn—said: 'By God, and again by God, God cursed you while you were still in the loins of al-Hakam upon the tongue of His Prophet ﷺ.' He said: Marwan fell silent.
