حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خُثَيْمِ بْنِ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
مَهْلًا عَنِ اللهِ، مَهْلًا، فَإِنَّهُ لَوْلَا شُيُوخٌ رُكَّعٌ، وَشَبَابٌ خُشَّعٌ، وَأَطْفَالٌ رُضَّعٌ، وَبَهَائِمُ رُتَّعٌ، لَصُبَّ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَذَابُ صَبًّا
Translation

✧ Gently, by Allah, gently! For were it not for elderly men who bow in prayer, youths who humble themselves, infants who suckle, and grazing livestock, the punishment would have been poured upon you in torrents.
