وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:

سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ كَمْ أَحْثُو عَلَى رَأْسِي وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ ؟ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَحْثُو عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثَ حَثَيَاتٍ، قَالَ الرَّجُلُ: إِنَّ شَعَرِي طَوِيلٌ ؟ فَقَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَكْثَرَ شَعَرًا مِنْكَ وَأَطْيَبَ

Translation

  1. Abū Hurayrah

✧ A man asked him: 'How many handfuls of water should I pour over my head while I am in a state of major ritual impurity?' He said: 'The Messenger of God ﷺ used to pour three handfuls over his head.' The man said: 'My hair is long.' He said: 'The Messenger of God ﷺ had more hair than you and it was better.'
