حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى فِي الْمَنَامِ كَأَنَّ بَنِي الْحَكَمِ يَنْزُونَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ وَيَنْزِلُونَ، فَأَصْبَحَ كَالْمُتَغَيِّظِ وَقَالَ: مَا لِي رَأَيْتُ بَنِي الْحَكَمِ يَنْزُونَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِي نَزْوَ الْقِرَدَةِ ؟ قَالَ: فَمَا رُئِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُسْتَجْمِعًا ضَاحِكًا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، حَتَّى مَاتَ ﷺ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw in a dream as if the Banu al-Hakam were leaping on his minbar and descending. He woke up as if in anger and said, "What is with me? I saw the Banu al-Hakam leaping on my minbar like the leaping of monkeys." He said, "And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was never seen laughing heartily after that, until he died ﷺ."
