حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

إِنَّ لِلهِ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ، أَنْزَلَ مِنْهَا وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ الْإِنْسِ وَالْجِنِّ وَالْوَحْشِ وَالْهَوَامِّ، فَبِهَا يَتَعَاطَفُونَ، وَبِهَا يَتَرَاحَمُونَ، وَبِهَا تَعْطِفُ الْوَحْشُ عَلَى أَوْلَادِهَا، وَأَخَّرَ لِنَفْسِهِ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ رَحْمَةً، يَرْحَمُ بِهَا عِبَادَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Translation

✧ God has one hundred mercies; He sent down one of them among humans, jinn, beasts, and vermin. By it they show affection to one another, by it they show mercy to one another, by it the beast shows affection to its young. He held back ninety-nine mercies for Himself, with which He will show mercy to His servants on the Day of Resurrection.
