وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَتَعَاقَبُونَ فِيكُمْ، مَلَائِكَةٌ بِاللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةٌ بِالنَّهَارِ، وَيَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ، ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ الَّذِينَ بَاتُوا فِيكُمْ، فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ، فَيَقُولُ: كَيْفَ تَرَكْتُمْ عِبَادِي ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ: تَرَكْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ، وَأَتَيْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Rasūl Allāh ﷺ
✧ Angels take turns among you: angels at night and angels by day, and they meet together at the afternoon prayer and the dawn prayer. Then those who spent the night among you ascend, and He asks them—though He knows best—saying, 'How did you leave My servants?' They say, 'We left them while they were praying, and we came to them while they were praying.'
