وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ قَالَ:

دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ دَارًا تُبْنَى بِالْمَدِينَةِ لِسَعِيدٍ - أَوْ لِمَرْوَانَ - قَالَ: فَتَوَضَّأَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى بَلَغَ إِبْطَيْهِ، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ حَتَّى بَلَغَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا هَذَا يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّهُ مُنْتَهَى الْحِلْيَةِ. قَالَ: وَرَأَى مُصَوِّرًا يُصَوِّرُ فِي الدَّارِ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ ذَهَبَ يَخْلُقُ كَخَلْقِي ! فَلْيَخْلُقُوا حَبَّةً، وَلْيَخْلُقُوا ذَرَّةً

Translation

  1. Abū Zurʿah

✧ I and Abu Hurayra entered a house being built in Madinah for Sa'id – or for Marwan. He said: Abu Hurayra performed ablution and washed his hands until he reached his armpits, and washed his feet until he reached his knees. I said: What is this, O Abu Hurayra? He said: It is the limit of adornment. He said: And he saw a painter painting in the house, and said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said: God Almighty said: And who is more unjust than one who goes to create as I create! Let them create a grain, and let them create an atom.
