وَعَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ. عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
إِذَا نَادَى الْمُنَادِي أَدْبَرَ الشَّيْطَانُ وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ، فَإِذَا قَضَى أَقْبَلَ، فَإِذَا ثُوِّبَ أَدْبَرَ، وَإِذَا قَضَى أَقْبَلَ، حَتَّى يَخْطِرَ بَيْنَ الرَّجُلِ وَبَيْنَ نَفْسِهِ، فَيَقُولُ: اذْكُرْ كَذَا وَكَذَا مَا لَمْ يَذْكُرْ، حَتَّى لَا يَدْرِيَ أَثَلَاثًا صَلَّى أَمْ أَرْبَعًا، فَإِذَا لَمْ يَدْرِ أَحَدُكُمْ أَثَلَاثًا صَلَّى أَمْ أَرْبَعًا، فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ
Translation

✧ When the muezzin calls, Satan turns his back, passing wind. When the call is finished, he returns. When the iqāma is given, he turns his back, and when it is finished, he returns, until he comes between a man and his own self, saying: Remember such and such, what he had not remembered, until the man does not know whether he prayed three or four. If one of you does not know whether he prayed three or four, let him prostrate twice while sitting.
