حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، أَخْبَرَنِي صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

لَا يَبِيعُ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ، وَقَالَ: لَا تَلَقَّوُا الْبُيُوعَ، وَلَا يَبِعْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ، وَلَا يَخْطُبْ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ، حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ الْخَاطِبُ الْأَوَّلُ، أَوْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُ فَيَخْطُبَ

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ A town-dweller should not sell for a desert-dweller. And he said: Do not meet the caravans, and none of you should sell against the sale of another, and none of you should propose marriage against the proposal of his brother, until the first suitor leaves or gives him permission to propose.
