✧ When he began the prayer, he said the takbir, then said: 'I have turned my face to the One who created the heavens and the earth, as a hanif, and I am not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for God, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He, and with this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims. O God, You are the King, there is no god but You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself, and I have acknowledged my sin, so forgive all my sins, for none forgives sins but You. Guide me to the best of character, for none guides to its best but You. Turn away from me its evil, for none turns away its evil from me but You. At Your service and Your aid. All good is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You. We are from You and to You. Blessed and exalted are You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You.' When he bowed, he said: 'O God, to You I have bowed, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed. My hearing, my sight, my bones, my marrow, and my sinews have humbled themselves to You.' When he raised his head from bowing, he said: 'God hears the one who praises Him. Our Lord, to You is praise, filling the heavens, filling the earth, and filling whatever You will after that.' When he prostrated, he said: 'O God, to You I have prostrated, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed. My face has prostrated to the One who created it and shaped it, and made its form excellent, and split its hearing and sight. Blessed is God, the best of creators.' When he said the salam, he said: 'O God, forgive me what I have done before, what I have delayed, what I have kept secret, and what I have declared, and what You know better than I. You are the One who brings forward, and You are the One who holds back. There is no god but You.'"
