حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ: أَفَعَلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ قَالَ: لَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مَا فَعَلْتُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ: قَدْ فَعَلَ، وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَدْ غَفَرَ لَهُ بِقَوْلِ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to a man: Did you do such and such? He said: No, by the One besides whom there is no god, I did not do it. Gabriel said to him: He did do it, but God, Blessed and Exalted, has forgiven him for saying: There is no god but God.
