حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ بِأَرْضِ الْفَلَاةِ، وَمَا يَنُوبُهُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ وَالسِّبَاعِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: إِذَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ قَدْرَ قُلَّتَيْنِ لَمْ يَحْمِلِ الْخَبَثَ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ being asked about water in a desert land and what comes to it from beasts and predators. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'When the water is the amount of two qullahs, it does not carry impurity.'
