حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ - يَعْنِي: ابْنَ أَبِي حَرْمَلَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ قَالَ:

مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ، أَوْ كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ، نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: وَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: أَوْ كَلْبَ حَرْثٍ

Translation

✧ Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog of livestock or a dog of hunting, a carat is deducted from his deeds every day. Abdullah said: Abu Hurayrah said: "or a dog of cultivation."
