وَعَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: وَأَبِي وَأَبِي، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ، قَالَ عُمَرُ: وَاللهِ مَا حَلَفْتُ بِهَا بَعْدُ ذَاكِرًا وَلَا آثِرًا
Translation
Chain of narrators

✧ The Prophet ﷺ heard Umar saying: By my father, by my father. He said: Allah forbids you to swear by your fathers. Umar said: By Allah, I never swore by them after that, neither intentionally nor quoting.
